Nearly a week after renegade soldiers claimed power in a coup against the president, opponents have staged a demonstration in the capital, Bamako.
About 1,000 people, including members of youth movements and political parties, gathered in the centre.
Some threatened to march on state television and radio headquarters, which are under the junta's control.
The demonstration was organised by a new political alliance called the United Front for the Restoration of Democracy, which is seeking the immediate restoration of law and civilian rule in the country.
