Over the past 12 generations, sometimes over a period of more than a millennium,
no less than 4,096 ANCESTORS were needed, to give birth to each of us, and to chart the course on which we walk today.
 
STOP FOR A MOMENT AND THINK…
 
Who were they?
Where did they come from?
Where are they now?
What have they become ?
How did they live, survive?
How many struggles have they fought?
How many wars and calamities have they survived?
How hungry or thirsty, hot or cold were they?
How many vicissitudes have they overcome?
What were their joys, their sorrows?
On the other hand, how much love and joys have they bequeathed to us?
How much strength and encouragement have they left us?
How much of their will to survive each of them had and left in us,
So that we are alive today?
We only exist because of everything each of them went through.
